MD to PC North

Middle Division debaters should meet at Putnam City North High School no later than 2:30 on Friday afternoon, Nov. 11. Rounds will begin around 3:30. Pick-up time should be around 10:00pm at PC North.

About Casady Debate

The debate team at Casady School was re-introduced in 2009 in accordance with the mission of Casady School and the National Forensic League mission to empower students to become effective communicators, ethical individuals, critical thinkers, and leaders in a democratic society.

In the fall of 2010, we become a competitive squad in policy debate, also known as cross-examination or team debate. We began to compete in tournaments as an associate member of the OSSAA, as well as in the Texas Forensic Association and the National Forensic League.

Starting in the fall of 2011, debate will be offered as a full-year honors course housed in the Department of History and Social Science. With its emphasis on history, current events, politics and policy-making as well as contemporary critical theory, debate offers students an intense academic experience animated by a challenging competitive environment.

Casady's debate team earned charter status in the National Forensic League in the winter of 2012 as a result of student recruitment and degrees of achievement in the organization.
